What does your group think? What is a revolution?
Make sure you put the hour you are in and the names of everyone in your group with your response. You should have a paragraph length response.

ReplyDeleteA revolution is a sudden change orradical change. Some people think of it as big people against little people. A better way to describe it is a war for change. People protesting against the big group is a way a revolution doesn't have to be about a war.
a revolution is when a person or group goes against their ruler . We say that the revolution is to go against some one or to revolt. A big change is something like the industrial revolution. A revolution would be going against someone or against your leader. A revolution could also be a big change in something.

A revolution is a sudden, radical, or complete change. It can apply to things other than war. Some things that are revolutions are the foreign car revolution and the computer revolution.

A revolution is a politically based movement designed to effect fundamental changes in the society. A revolution can also be a sudden change in society. It can also be a change in technology and society.
ReplyDeleteA quick change that happens with the goverment and people. Also you can have a revolution with your friends. It can happen on a football field. It can go from a clean game to a dirty game.

The industrial revolution didn't involve a war, it was just a complete change in the way that people worked.

A lot of you have great thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI would describe a REVOLUTION as a "a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving." I think this definition covers all areas of revolutions that have occurred in history. We could have a political revolution (lik the American Revolution), or a cultural revolution (the Industrial Revoluton), or we could even consider it an economic revolution.
I especially like the analogy of a revolution being like a football game, going from clean to dirty. When a football game goes from clean to dirty, it can happen suddenly but there were still plays or actions by the coach or teammates that caused it to become a dirty game.
The same is true for a revolution- it can happen quickly and drastically, however there are always events that led up to/caused the revolution.
Great job! Make sure you put your hour and group member names when you respond. I appreciate the hard work most of you put in!

ReplyDeleteA sudden change. The Come outs from Iraq are revolution. The way the world is changeing is a revolution. A change that can be bad for everyone. They go on everywhere. It can be political or economical.

ReplyDeleteI think that a revolution is a jump forward in time. It jumps forward in the government and time of politics. There are several ways that revolutions do not pertain to war- Negotiation and friendly countries or groups working together to make new technology and ideas. Sometimes they take over land and governments to advance.
