English Revolution

What made the events taking place in England a revolution?

Who were the leaders during these times?

What happened to these leaders?

Finally, who do you think was right, the king or the people? Why?

Make sure you put your hour and the name of everyone in your group! Good job so far, I really enjoy reading your comments.

the people rebeled because they didn't like how they were being treated and they thought that the taxes were to high. the leaders were king charles and oliver cromwell. charles got beheaded and then cromwell took over then he died. we think the people were right because they didn't have any rights and the taxes were to high.

  4. Q1-It went from the Parliment controling things to King Charles1 treating them badly. King Charles1 did not listen to the peoples advise and did what he wanted to do.
Q2-the leaders at this time was the Parliment, King Charles1, James1, Mary and her husband William of Orange, Cronwell.
Q3- King Charles1 was sentenced to death by the law. James1 felt unsupported and feld England.
Q4-We think that the people were right because they worked together. We don't think the king were right because he charged unnessary taxes and he was also greety

  5. Just a few facts to clarify for you...

John Calvin was not a king, he studied theology and wrote about religion.

Charles I was beheaded. Cromwell was not.

You should have more than 2 kings/leaders listed.
Charles I, Oliver Cromwell, Charles II, James I, and Mary & William.

Group 27.5 has a great response! Good job Kaylie, Courtney, and Adam!!!

I am looking forward to reading the rest of your responses.

It was a revolution because it was a change in government. Charles I, James I, and Cromwell were the rulers. Charles I was heheaded, James I fled England, and Cromwell died. We are on the people's side because they shouldn't have to pay the taxes.

  8. It changed the way that people looked at rulers and taxing. Charles I, Charles II, James I, Cromwell, and William and Mary were the rulers. Charles I was beheaded and James I fled England because he felt unsupported. The people were right because the king never consulted Parliament and unfairly taxed the people.

The parliament and king Charles could never agree on anything which had an influence on the English Revolution. Puritans could not worship because of the English Revolution and the Archbishop Laud.

In 1629 King Charles 1 fled his country because of the taxes he was putting on his people, but he returned only to be beheaded. When he was beheaded Cromwell took the throne, but also taxed like King Charles 1. He latered died in 1658. We think that the people are right because they were being taxed unfairly for King Charles unecessary entertainment.

1.) Because there was changes being made. Some very little, but some very drastic.
2.) King Charles & Queen Elizabeth
3.) Queen Elizabeth died in 1603 & King Charles was killed 6 days after his trial.
4.) The people, bacause King Charles taxed the poor. He was mean and selfish.
    WE DO NOT LIKE HIM!

Period 2- More awesome than the awesomest group

King Charles I was taxing the people bad and treating them unfairly. Charles I, Cromwell, Charles II, and James I. Charles I was beheaded, Cromwell died, Charles II died, and James I was dethroned. We think that the people were right because they were unfairly treated and taxed.

Q4. We think the people were right, because the kings shouldn't be selfish and raise taxes when a bunch of people are really poor
