Industrial Revolution

The Industrial Revolution was important for a number of reasons. There were a number of changes that took place, like the growth of factories and the movement of people from the country into the cities. The Industrial Revolution changed the way we live.

Each member of your group should write one sentence about the Industrial Revolution. This can be specific or it can summarize part of what you read.

Example: "The Industrial Revolution forced many young children to start working."

Don't forget to put the hour you are in and the names of everyone in your group!

Keep up the good work!

Factories were started to produce items cheaply. Lots of inventions were easier to do. Before these inventions were made everything was done by hand or with simplier machines. People started to live in cities and work in factories instead of farms.

The Industrial Revolution was when the people quit working at home and work at factories. The Industrial Revolution spread throughout the world. The Industrial Revolution changed the world as we know it. I think that the Industrial Revolution has changed the way that we live now, even if people can't see that.

  4. Not a bad start - the industrial revolution wasn't just about machines and factories. Make sure you check out what other things were impacted and perhaps as the Period 2 group noted what things we have today that are a remnant of that time period

Also, HOW did it change life for people?

What happened to the lower class?
